guidePORT in Practice
Each visitor receives his or her personal earphones and portable guidePORT from the central issuing desk (usually the ticket counter or reception).
Here, your visitor selects the level of information that is most suitable for him or her. guidePORT enables you to offer different programmes and levels of information to children and adults. Also, with guidePORT, you can provide expert visitors with special recordings that suit their advanced level of knowledge and their requirements. And all of this in the language of the individual visitor’s choice.
You can also provide your blind and visually impaired visitors with information tailored to their specific needs – and, at the same time, make a sensitive contribution to and provide support for the concept of accessibility. Plus our wide range of audiology devices interface with guidePORT.
guidePORT thus plays its first trump card right at the beginning: your guest is immediately surprised and flattered by the innovative, individually tailored service that you provide.
guidePORT allows your guests to enjoy your exhibition at their own pace and in their own way. They feel both informed and enabled to enjoy the experience right the way through their visit, and never feel constrained to a pre-set route. In fact, the opposite is true: visitors structure their tour themselves, in accordance with their own preferences. Whether they want to stay a little longer in front of a particular exhibit, play a specific piece of audio over and over, or return to their favourite picture three rooms on – guidePORT makes it all possible. Your visitors get to decide the volume they find most pleasant, and adjust it whenever they like. And all in a truly unrestricted manner, indoors and out.
Unlike other audio systems, guidePORT also enables you to offer classic guided tours with a wireless microphone and to link these classic elements into the innovative capabilities of the information system. The tour guide is able to "launch" pre-recorded audio tracks in the visitors' receiver with a touch of a button, thus relieving the tour guide from memorizing all the exibit content. And without disturbing the participants of other guided tours. Both visitors and guides will thank you for these features!
